SUZANNE KUTINA, OUTREACH AND TRAINER: NOT ME! ASSAULT PREVENTION AND PERSONAL SAFETY
Suzanne is part of a committee which includes Carol Bomben, Jan Eian, Kevin Kraemer and Roger Jorgensen to assist in efforts to stop human trafficking and abuse. Through these efforts she became involved with NOT ME! Training founded by former Navy Seal Al Horner who also spoke to the club. Suzanne spoke of the focus on prevention and reported that one in seven children experience sexual assault (girls, one in four and boys, one in ten). 90% of these victims are targeted through grooming of the victims and eighty to ninety percent of these are elementary aged children.

A major focus of the group is in training children through use of the “Super Hero Kids” training program which they present to classrooms and youth groups. Rotary and Rotarians can help by supporting “NOT ME” so they can expand outreach and training. See web site at www.notmetraining.com. In addition to youth outreach, NOT ME has training for adults focused on Prevention and Awareness and Empowerment including some basic self-defense. Classes are listed on the aforementioned website.
