Global Travel Eye-Openers: How to Identify and Mitigate Risks While Traveling Abroad
 Presenter: Sheryl HillSheryl Hill, executive director and founder of ClearCause, is a passionate advocate for safe study abroad. Her family has hosted eight international youth for more than twelve years. Her 16-year-old son, Tyler, died a preventable death on a People to People trip to Japan in 2007. She and her husband, Allen, founded ClearCause to save lives and protect students abroad in a $200+ billion student tourism industry operating without any federal rules. ClearCause is the catalyst behind two sunshine transparency laws in Minnesota, SF 1975 in honor of Thomas Plotkin (Hopkins, MN) for Higher Education sponsored by Senator Terri Bonoff. HR 1542 in honor of Tyler Hill (Mound, MN) for K-12 sponsored by Representative Yvonne Selcer. Sheryl is invited to present workshops at Rotary International's North American Youth Exchange Network (NAYEN) Conference in 2016. Sheryl Hill is an award-winning author of "Walking on Sunshine." Sheryl had countless examples of students unfamiliar with local laws, and unfamiliar with how to get help in time of crisis. She outlined the necessary steps for students and parents to prepare for a student studying abroad. She mentioned the need for Power of Attorney, HIPAA and FURPA releases, passports that have a duration of 6 months or longer, evacuation insurance, and numerous other considerations that must be addressed before traveling abroad. SPOTLIGHT ON REBECCA DEELSTRA
 Becky’s greatest joy is her children and grand children ages 9, 7 and 5. Last June her daughter’s family moved to Scotsdale. Becky is one of those lucky grandparents who can go to Arizona. Becky has her Golden Doodle, Laia in obedience training and is training her to do therapy work. She will eventually be brought to nursing homes and hospice and children's wards. Becky’s mother told her to answer an ad in the paper which began her insurance career. She is fortunate to have an employer who has provided her limitless opportunity. Her clients are all sizes in numerous industries, She has had a million-dollar health claim on a client who is still with us. She helped her clients who had premature twins born on the side of the road. She has had a death claim from a suicide bombing. She loves working with her clients and helping them solve their insurance needs.

- Gary Bergren - Jerry Kill announced retirement. Involved in epilepsy foundation. Granddaughter is spokesperson for Epilepsy Foundation. Interviewed Granddaughter on TV.
- Brad Aho - Looking for spot for his convertible for the winter if anyone is renting space.
- Jay Simpson - Ran into Roy Terwilliger and wife at dinner. Roy had a stent put in his heart and is doing well. Jay also thanked the 67 rooster pheasants who gave their lives for a good cause.
- Dan O'Brien - Art (our exchange student) is a great kid. Club needs to step up our game and help support him. We need one more family to house him.
- Mike Kraines- Just had large fundraiser for CHOICE, Inc.. Happy it went well. Great program, lots of fun. Happy it is over.
- John Crudele - Camp Enterprise last week was so great with 125 young people. It was an amazing time and he felt blessed by it.
